"Finally, Clay Colton came and it was a high-five flying, "F#^k yeah!" From the first note, I knew they were going to win. You could see it in their faces, could feel it in the room - the whole "energy" of the room had changed, for the better. There was no question in any of the judges' minds, or most of the crowd's minds, who should've won. Clay Colton, dammit man, you sound good."
"Congratulations you party-bus-booking, rocking-the-house-rocking, ten-thousand-dollar-winning mofos! It couldn't have gone to a nice group of guys"
You can read more about that event and check out some other wonderful bands at the BCS Blog.
This is it! The Big Country Showdown FINALS! You got us here, now it's time for the big finish. Don't leave us hanging!
Sunday, September 6, the Clay Colton Band will be going head-to-head against four of San Diego's top Country music cover bands at Viejas Casino. The biggest part of this competition is the deafening roar each band recieves from the audience, and we'd love to have you there to be a part of the noise.
So, to make it happen, we've christened the official "Clay Colton Band Party Van" to bus all of our fans down to Viejas in style and properly motivated to rock out.
For $10, you'll get a sweet ride to and from Viejas, free beer and a good time. We'll be meeting at O'Sullivan's Irish Pub of Carlsbad at 5:30 PM on Sunday, September 6. It's gonna be a blast!
If you'd like to hop on board the party bus, please RSVP to us at

Thanks to your votes - WE MADE IT INTO THE TOP 4!!
We had a battle at the Hard Rock Cafe last Tueday for the glorious award of opening up for Kenny Chesney at Coors Amphitheater. We had an incredible time, made some new friends, but did not win the event. But hey, we're all winners in the music's ears!! HeeHeeHee. I like to give out a congrats to Rob Carona for putting on the best show and doing a great job on the mighty stage at Coors. Also Laura Roppe, Josh Damigo and their bands are some stars to check out. The four of us are talking about putting on another show for all of you sometime soon. I can't thank all of you enough for supporting us through this competition. It was a great ride.
In the course of the raging wildfires that swept through San Diego in 2007, Clay decided to lend a hand by trying to lift the spirits of the folks stuck down at Qualcomm.
CCB kicked off the charge with our rendition of "All Along the Watchtower" during KPRI 102.1 FM's Homegrown Hour hosted by the talented Astra Kelly. Click to listen to what we recorded off of the fancy internet radio.
